
Uzmasat-1: A Historic Satellite Launch Event by WAU Rocketry USM
On the night of 14th to 15th January 2025, WAU Rocketry USM proudly hosted the UZMASAT-1 Launching Live Streaming Event, a monumental occasion celebrating Malaysia’s advancements in satellite technology. The event, part of the Aerospace Collective Series, brought together aerospace enthusiasts, students, and professionals to witness the historic launch of UZMASAT-1, a testament to our nation’s growing capabilities in space exploration.
A SUCCESSFUL HYBRID EVENT
Held both in-person at the Bilik Seminar, School of Aerospace Engineering, USM and virtually via Google Meet, the hybrid event was a resounding success. With a packed seminar room of 30 attendees and many more joining online, the event demonstrated the power of community in advancing aerospace knowledge and innovation.

We kicked off at 10 PM, immersing participants in the build-up to the launch with informative sessions, expert commentary, and live Q&A discussions. The event captured the excitement and curiosity of everyone present, creating a shared sense of purpose and pride.
